Let’s go on adventure in 2026?
Let’s decide which events
to start working on
This Year's Roadmap is Here!

We've FINALLY updated our 2026 calendar! Based on your feedback, it has more family outings and long weekend ideas. We'll definitely be adding more spontaneous escapes throughout the year. We’re ready to build these out – we just need your "green light."
Action: Mark the adventures you're interested in. Once an idea hits enough interest, we’ll dive into the detailed planning to hopefully make it happen!
LONG WEEKEND · GLACIER SKILLS · CHAMONIX–MONT BLANC · MAY 14–17
Start: glacier ice at Mer de Glace, learning crampon and ice tool movement. Then: rope up at Aiguille du Midi (3,800m) for real glacier travel and crevasse awareness. Day 3 splits: advanced climbers move onto alpine ridges or multipitch terrain; the classic track builds exposure confidence on rock. Final day: highest objective, weather-protected.
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK. May 30 – June 1
Two spectacular days in Yosemite at peak waterfall season — granite, spray, and high-country exposure. Day 1, we take the Mist Trail to Vernal and Nevada Falls — steep granite, full runoff, real effort. Sunset from Glacier Point (or Tunnel View if the road’s closed). Day 2 starts with guided granite climbing in the Valley (AMGA-certified, proper ratios). We finish with a high-country summit — Sentinel Dome or Cathedral Lakes, snow depending. No prior climbing needed. Approximate cost per person: $2,400
WEEK IN DOLOMITES · VAL DI FASSA + MARMOLADA · June 2026
Base in Canazei. Traverse the ridgelines of Val di Fassa. Step onto WWI ferratas above the Padon. Finish on Marmolada — the Queen of the Dolomites — guided summit, conditions depending. Paragliding and e-MTB are optional. The mountain is the focus. Estimate per person: USD 2,600
1 WEEK · DODECANESE CATAMARAN FLOTILLA · GREECE · JUNE 27
Kos → Kalymnos → Leros → Patmos → Lipsi → Kos. A real Aegean sailing week in comfortable catamarans — not a cruise. Turquoise anchorages in Pserimos, limestone cliffs of Kalymnos, deep natural harbor of Leros, sunset in Patmos Chora, quiet swims off Lipsi. Professional skipper. Active participation. Communal dinners in small harbors. Estimate per person: USD 3,000
LONG WEEKEND · COLORADO · SAN JUANS (OURAY) · July 2027
Mount Sneffels (14,158 ft) summit day (Class 2+ scrambling), Yankee Boy Basin alpine scenery, optional Ouray Via Ferrata, and the Ouray Hot Springs soak after. Early starts, strict turnaround — we move before the monsoon storms show up. Estimate per person: USD 1,500
6-DAY ADVENTURE. MONTE ROSA → MONT BLANC. SEPTEMBER
This is not a rushed Mont Blanc attempt. We earn it. We acclimatize on Monte Rosa glaciers, sleep high in alpine huts, cross 4,000m on a Rosa peak — then move to Chamonix for a guided Mont Blanc (4,810m) summit finale via the Goûter route.
4 DAYS · GRAND CANYON RIM-TO-RIM · OCTOBER
24 miles across one of the most iconic endurance routes in North America. Sunrise descent on South Kaibab, cross the Colorado River, overnight at Phantom Ranch / Bright Angel Camp, then climb 5,800 ft to the forested North Rim. Estimate per person: USD 1,000
7 DAYS · FISHERMEN’S TRAIL · FAMILY ADVENTURE
Clifftop walking above crashing surf. Empty beaches. Sea stacks. Fresh seafood in small fishing towns. We finish at Cabo de São Vicente — the southwestern tip of Europe. 15–22 km per day. Sand, wind, real coastal terrain. No technical climbing — just endurance and rhythm. Estimate per person: USD 2,800
MODULAR EXPEDITION · MEXICO VOLCANO EXPEDITION · FALL
We begin in Mexico City — culture, food, and soft acclimatization on Ajusco. Then move to Iztaccíhuatl (5,230m) for long ridge exposure and real altitude. Final objective: Pico de Orizaba (5,636m) — Mexico’s highest peak and a true glacier summit. Families can join the city module. Climbers build properly. No rushing altitude.
MT. WHITNEY (14,505 ft) · 3 DAYS · DECEMBER
A true winter ascent of Whitney’s east face. We approach via the North Fork, camp at Upper Boy Scout Lake, then climb a 35–45° snow couloir and the exposed Final 400 to the summit. Cold mornings. Heavy packs. Real alpine terrain.
16–20 DAYS · EAST AFRICA SIGNATURE EXPEDITION
Rwanda Gorillas → Kilimanjaro (5,895m) → Tanzania Safari · Start in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park — trek with a single gorilla family (8 permits). Move to Tanzania for an 8-day Lemosho Route ascent of Kilimanjaro to Uhuru Peak. Finish with safari in Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and optional Serengeti. Up to 8 People

Thank you again for the wonderful time yesterday. Landree and I both enjoyed our introduction to outdoor rock climbing and will plan to do it again. I hope to go on more adventures with you in the future!
Alex Rubin
This wasn’t my first trip with GGP. Since we’ve become family friends with Peter and Vadim. It was awesome spending time together in Lapland. The weather was perfect, letting us enjoy the Northern Lights every single day, we got so lucky. On the last day we were already tossing around ideas about where we could go next together. Can’t wait for more adventures
I'm from Hungary and spent many years living in Budapest, yet I never took the chance to explore the local caves. Going caving with GGP was the perfect way to finally change that, and I have to say I absolutely loved it! I’d highly recommend the experience to anyone. Hopefully, I’ll get to join GGP on more adventures in the future!

Event: Aconcagua
Aconcagua was the trip of a lifetime. High altitude mountains are no easy feat, albeit the experience was very fulfilling. I would recommend anyone in good physical condition, with a love for nature and looking for a challenge, to visit. You won't regret it!
Ella Boucaud
I had an incredible experience rock climbing at Red Rock Canyon in Nevada! It was my first time climbing, and I couldn’t have asked for a better adventure. The scenery, climb, and the amazing group of people I got to share it with made it awesome. I highly recommend, if you’re looking for a fun outdoor activity and a chance to meet great people.
Peter Farkas
I think it is an easy climb if you are not fat. I am fat.
It was a great intro into high altitude mountaineering. The itinerary was great. Maybe an overnight trip sneakjng through the Iranian border would make it more adventurous, but not as legal :)
Yuriy Prokopenko
It was a good balance between teamwork and individual challenges to complete various gymnastic exercises. I was challenged to test my balance, muscle strength, and running on vertical surfaces to reach the top of the structure. We had fun, supported each other, and collaborated to find the best approach to completing the tasks. I believe this could be a great training for trekking and hiking! I had a fantastic time at the Geeks go Ninja!
Marcin Gwozdz
It was a great trip, the perfect one for the people who wanted to start their journey with the high altitude climbing.
Eli Shvartsman
Going outside with like-minded people instead of just socializing and drinking was a nice setup.
It seems that geekiness and adventure are a good combination, and they allow us to chat and make new friends.
Luba Elliott
It was great. The trek was straightforward, but altitude made it more difficult and at the end, the weather made it a challenge
I liked that we made stops to swim, by the waterfall and on the last day we were able to visit Ishak Pasha and the baths. The mini 3D-printed Ararat was a nice touch!
Shawn Turnbull
My friend Peter invited me to his pre conference ‘Geeks go Peaks’ event, and I immediately accepted because he loves adventure, and his events are never dull. I am complete out of shape and didn’t know anyone going, but I knew it would be fun. In keeping with Peter’s roots in the open source software community. The group was welcoming and cheered me on to try new things! I made some new friends, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this group will grow community and explore opportunities for connection and adventure.

Thank you so much for ogranizing this. It was one of the best trips in my life. Excellent! And so many interesting new people. Waiting for more photos in the shared album :)

Ararat adventure was an experience I’ll never forget! Big thanks to Geeks Go Peaks! The trip was better than I expected. The videos on Youtube do not reflect full wild experience you get during the trip. Before the trip I was a bit nervous, nit sure how I will handle the height and difficulty. After the trip I felt good, because all went well and most of the group achieved summit. I liked the itinerary and good company! I want to say big thanks! Ararat adventure was great and I will have great memories for life.
Sergey Samoylov
Climbing Mount Ararat is an opportunity to challenge yourself and enjoy breathtaking views. Personally, I gained emotions not only from the climb itself, but also from the time spent with a great team of like-minded people. I made new acquaintances with wonderful individuals. And Kurdish hospitality evokes nothing but warm feelings. Of course, the nature — you can watch the starry sky endlessly, far from city lights.
The sunrise at the summit during the climb is not only a sight to admire,
but also a hope for the upcoming warmth, meaning my gear held up — I won’t freeze!) Most importantly, such an adventure allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and feel truly connected to yourself — a part of nature!

It was an amazing trip with incredible people. Climbing a mountain over 5,000 meters was a first for me, and now I’m craving even more adventures. Looking forward to the next trip!
Patrick Galbraith
The trip went by too fast, and I’m already looking forward to the next one. This is a great adventure for techies, and everything was described pretty much as it was. It was a great experience—somewhat hard, but not as challenging as Aconcagua, obviously. Great job!
Chikahiro Tokoro
Activity was nice, i never tried to have SUP, it was good chance to try it out! And I really like to see the people who has similar interest, that made me a nice time!
And yes I got a nice friend there and he is even my colleague now! (I didn't invite him, that's a kind of coincidence though)
